After opening a file, a dropdown menu will list the available subchannels in the format "0x0n1", where n can be 1-9. Select any subchannel during playback and playback will start at the beginning of the file. Changing subchannels multiple times may cause WatchHDTVPlayTS to close. The subchannels should generally be in order of the subchannels .1,.2, etc. So if you have 3 subchannels, you may have 0x031,0x041,0x051. Subchannels can be any number, like 1,2,5, and thus subchannel 1 could be 0x031, 2 could be 0x041, and 5 could be 0x051. **************** OCTOBER 10, 2006 This is the first release of WatchHDTVSchedTS, WatchHDTVSRTS, WatchHDTVPlayTS, watchhdtvsink.ax, and watchhdtvsource.ax to support the silent recording and playback of transport streams. The transport stream is the native data captured from the tuner without modification. There is virtually no difference in the way these versions run compared to regular WatchHDTV versions, so usage is the same. The watchhdtvsink.ax and watchhdtvsource.ax filters are intended to be used by these programs only and are provided only for that purpose. All programs can be used at the same time as the regular WatchHDTV Versions, and can be placed in the same folder as well. To enable recording and playback, double-click the regwatchhdtv.bat file to register watchhdtvsink.ax and watchhdtvsource.ax. To unregister them, double-click the unregwatchhdtv.bat. The .bat files must remain in the same folder as watchhdtvsink.ax and watchhdtvsource.ax in order for them to work. WatchHDTVPlayTS- 1. Can play .ts and .tp files. 2. Compatibility with any previous recordings isn't guaranteed. 3. Duration of files is estimated based on a fixed bitrate and will only be close to the actual duration if .ts file hasn't been stripped of any packets. When nearing the end of the file, the program may continue to play slightly after the actual end of the file. The elapsed time counter isn't based on real time, but the estimated duration of the file using the fixed bitrate. If a file has been stripped of subchannels, null packets, etc, the duration will be incorrect but the whole file may still be played correctly. SkipFF and SkipRW will still work, but the times skipped will not be the actual time skipped due to the incorrect duration. 4. Playback of only the first subchannel is supported. 5. FF and RW are disabled. To register .ts file extension to enable playback by double-clicking .ts files- Open Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options. Select the File Types tab, click New, and type "ts" for the file extension and click OK. Then click Change, choose Select Program from a list, and browse to WatchHDTVPlayTS.exe.
